SWINE PRODUCTION SYSTEMS

swine-facilities

We specialize in providing turn-key agricultural projects (Swine Production Systems , Poultry Production Systems , Dairy and Machine Storage facilities), and have also diversified into the commercial and industrial markets.

Either with our own forces or through our " Project Management " skills, we will get your project completed on time.

From conception to completion they will assist the client with every aspect of the project.

We manage and complete your construction projects on time using only materials and sub-contractors that meet our quality standards.

This, along with our commitment to service, attention to details and workmanship has allowed us to continually provide our customers with the best buildings and production facilities in the industry.

We are committed to continually providing our clients with new and innovative ideas to produce the most efficient buildings and production facilities.

After completion of our client's turn-key projects, our staff will assist them to make sure their facilities maintain their optimum trouble free performance.

General Project Design Notes:

1. The production system is designed as a breeding farm with space and facilities to select and house replacement animals. Space is also provided to house and collect semen from boars. All breeding is by means of artificial insemination.

2. Production flow is designed on an all in/all out system. All in/all out production system implies that all pigs of a common age are housed together in a room, and stay together until they are moved to the next stage of production.

The benefits of this approach to production are numerous. It provides the optimum environment for the animal through all stages of growth in regards to nutrition and temperature.

All the animals in the room will fall within the upper and lower critical temperature levels they require to insure optimum growth and comfort. With all the pigs in the room having the same nutritional requirements it becomes easy to do the feed handling and delivery.

This production system also provides a good risk management tool. If any of the pigs have health or disease issues, with proper bio-security protocol it is possible to contain it to one room without compromising the health of the entire herd. In this situation with health issues or loss of production space for other reasons, you would only loss a small portion of the entire production system, not the entire system.

3. All waste (manure) produced is stored under the building and applied to the land at the optimum time for crop production.
The manure system is designed as a gravity flow system so no agitation is required for removal and it flows slowly. This system provides full and efficient removal of the manure along with reducing the risk of any manure gases entering the production air space during removal.

4. Feeding is with a dry pre-manufactured feed stored in exterior storage bins and delivered automatically to the animals.
The feed systems for the farrowing and breeding and gestation areas are such that one type of feed is feed to the farrowing area and one type to the breeding and gestation area.

The boar area is feed manually from the feed supplied to the breeding and gestation area. The nursery and finishing rooms are provided feed from one exterior storage tank for each room. This allows for changing the nutritional make-up of the feed as the pigs grow and their nutritional requirements change.

5. Ventilation is with exhaust fans mounted in the perimeter exterior walls to remove the stale air. All fresh supply air is provided through the ceiling space and distributed into the production space with mechanical controlled inlets. All areas except the boar area have under the floor ventilation to remove any contaminates produced by the manure before they enter the production air space.

6. Heating is with open fired gas heaters within the production space (rooms). The floor areas in the farrowing rooms for the new born pigs are heated with in-floor hot water heating. All the service areas for the employee’s are heated with in-floor hot water heating. All the in-floor hot water heating is supplied with a central hot water boiler.

7. Weigh scales are provided between the farrowing and nursery areas and at the finishing and shipping area to monitor growth performance.
